5. Superman #45 - The Kents....


This was such a Lois thing to do, and Clark saying "But isn't this illegal" was priceless. It led for a touching moment to end Tomasi's Superman run and start a new chapter for the family.

3. X-Men Gold #26 - Mom, Walk Me Down The Aisle?


Kitty deals with a lot of craziness in her life she's a ninja, she was in space with the Guardians of the Galaxy, and now she's the leader of the X-Men. It's nice to have touching/grounded scenes like this for her every once in awhile.

2. Ms. Marvel #29 - I’m Gay.


I love Zoe! She has grown so much as a character in this series, from mean girl to one of Kamala's best friends. It's really great to see how open she has become as a character, now that she has destroyed the walls she built while hiding her sexuality.        

1. Ms. Marvel #29 - Don’t Fall For A Snob!




Zoe is essentially falling in love with her old mean girl self, and I love it! The ending of the issue had an interesting twist with Zoe's new love interest, which shows the true balance this book has with "Archie" high school drama and superhero antics.

5. Ms. Marvel #29 - Bruno Is Back!

Just as Kamala has her first kiss, her first somewhat love shows back up, right at that moment, of course. And Kamala's inner dialogue in this panel says it all. And plus, Bruno is back! Yay.


4.  Avengers #689 - You In?
This is a very simple thing, but seeing a third-rate Avenger like Lightning taking on an Elder of the Universe is exactly what being a superhero is all about, and heroes in general. The meek confound the wise. He challenges the former Grandmaster to a game of poker because he knows he can't resist the challenge. It's beautiful in its simplicity.

3. Ms. Marvel #29 - That Was A Phase....

I love this panel because of the twist here, saying her veganism was a phase. This is just a funny line that speaks to who Chloe is and how she owns it. She's not my favorite character, but she has grown quite a bit.

2. - Batman #45 - See The Terrible And Get Peace.

Booster Gold can be an idiot sometimes. Giving Bruce Wayne the "gift" of having his parents, but then making him relive it and trying to convince him to now go fix it? "Well, not KILL your parents, per se..." Man... Booster... that's kind of cold, dude. haha

1.   Superman #45 - The Colors Will Fly!

This whole issue was a great way to leave Gleason's run and leave Hamilton. Topping it off is Superman and son going out to save the day... Up, Up and AWAY!

Previously in Power Rangers: Lord Drakkon, Tommy Oliver from another reality one where instead of joining the Rangers after the spell was broken decided to stay evil with Rita. Now he is loose as he sets out to destroy and take the power from the Power Rangers. When Kimberly and Jen the PinkTime ForceRanger are too late to save Tommy the Grid has fractured! Now Lord Drakkon is hoping dimensions attack other Ranger teams. How long before that fracture shatters? What will happen now? The five Zeo Rangers, Kat, Tanya, Rocky, Adam, and Tommy are all fighting a group of Cogs discussing a present for Jason who is leaving the team after losing the Gold Zeo Ranger powers while someone watches them. Tommy teleports out to grab the present from his home. Back at the Power Chamber the Rangers are all gathered including Jason where they present him with a repaired Tyrannosaurus Power Morpher complete with coin. He is warned though that the Morpher was only cosmetically fixed by Billy and shouldn't be used for Morphing.

As the party dies down, Jason is sitting up on the roof of the Command Center thinking about how much he is going to miss everything when Tommy joins him. The two have a heart to heart about and Tommy asks Jason what did they think when he first joined their team. Jason tells him that it was rough at first but he proved himself by making the choice to be a hero instead of running away. Jason says his final goodbyes and leaves while the rest of the team finishes cleaning up. Tommy hangs back and sees a Zeonizer on a console before he teleports away.


We find out that the Tommy we saw at the party was actually Lord Drakkon using a holographic disguise. He has the real Tommy who he replaced Tommy after he teleported away from the battle with the Cogs. Drakkon tells Tommy he was surprised to see him there and that he was curious as to why they all look up to him before showing him Adam's Zeonizer and tells him he didn't hurt anyone before he uses Saba to kill Tommy once again.

This was my favorite story to be honest. I loved how the team gathered to say goodbye to Jason and the heart to heart with Tommy, even though it turned out to be Drakkon. We also learned possible things here. Jason, Zack and Trini will leave, Jason will return as the Gold Ranger and he apparently doesn't have a functional Morpher after the Power Transfer (or does he?) as many of us theorize. But the big thing is that get more about how time as fractured, it apparently broke these other dimensions at the point where Billy & Tommy returned from the Coinless Universe and Lord Drakkon must not have crossed over, or at least never got freed from Prometha. And where is Billy at the party? I mean he fixes the Power Morpher and Coin and isn't invited to the party or something?

We join the SPD Rangers at some point during their season the B-Squad, with Jack leading them is training with the C-Squad with whom they share a rivalry on some level when Lord Drakkon with his new Samurai powers attacks. The team is backed into the base where the B and C Squads have to work together to release R.I.C. 2.0, a giant Zord-like version of the R.I.C. unit created and piloted by Boom. R.I.C. 2.0 attacks Lord Drakkon and his troops who retreats not expecting the fight they had put up. Doggie tells them, their strength is in their unity now they are more united than ever.

This story surprised me because I thought Drakkon would have defeated each team in this annual, or at the very least do what he did in the Zeo story and steal a Morpher from each team, but this story shows that isn't going to be the case. This also had me wondering how they did it so easily, when the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers of two world had such hard times with it. But this was a solid story and a testament to the team and the fans of the series.

RPM like the SPD takes place sometime during the season. We have a man in a green & white leather cycle jacket riding a motor cycle being pursued by an army and is granted entrance to Corinth. Once inside he removes his helmet and we see it is Drakkon and he tells Colonel Truman he needs to speak to Dr. K as he has information that can help them defeat Venjix. Dr. K overhears through the Colonel's ear piece and tells him to allow him through waving the screening process.


At the base the Rangers present Dr. K with a cake and she tells them she doesn't want it as it reminds her of her time at Alphabet Soup which calls back to the RPM episode "Doctor K". As Drakkon arrives at the base his troops enter the city using a device that was on his motorcycle and begin to attack as the Rangers head out to fight him. Drakkon approaches Dr. K to join him on his mission citing what she has done with the Venjix Virus and becoming essential this world's ruler having them so dependent on her is perfect. Dr. K refuses to which Drakkon informs her it wasn't an offer and that he has teamed up with Venjix. Dr. K seems to be willing to go but is really just getting a weapon with which she blasts Drakkon and destroys him. The Rangers return reporting they defeated the soldiers and notice Drakkon was blown up to which Dr. K then tells them he was a Venjix Android. When asked if she knew if he was one before shooting him, Dr. K takes her cake and leaves crying as she eats a piece.

I liked how this actually tied into the series itself, playing off of key moments like the "Doctor K" episode and her birthday. With the RPM Rangers successfully defeating Drakkon's army and their tech still there, I can see this being a significant instrument in defeating Drakkon with Dr. K maybe reverse engineering the tech and finding ways to defend and defeat it. I would love to see the big brains of the seasons like Billy, Kendrix, Dr. K etc gathering together in the ultimate think tank to work it out. Another solid story and the gritty art really lent to the vibe and feel of what RPM is about.

The In Space story like the previous two takes place at some point during the season and apparently before Zane joins them. Drakkon infiltrates the Astro Megaship taking over D.E.C.A. and attacking Alpha 6 when the Rangers realize they have been boarded and T.J. is separated from the team in the airlock investigating some problem there when the attack happens. The tema minus T.J. morphs to take on Drakkon but he defeats and depowers them, then T.J. manually initiates the Megazord transformation sequence knocking Drakkon's army around. Drakkon finds T.J. who escapes him through the airlock floating in space with a mask on.

This one was an interesting story for me because In Space is one of my favorite seasons so to see them again was great. They really grabbed the chemistry of the team early on with Andros being a bit more impulsive, acting before he thinks.  I also liked that T.J. gets to shine here, it really shows why he was a Red Ranger, something that In Space showed a few times. It also leaves us on a cliffhanger with will he survive, will Drakkon get an Astro Morpher or not. I am hoping T.J. uses his Turbo Morpher or at the very least Lightning Cruiser flies in for the save.


MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS 2018 ANNUAL

The final story takes place in the Super Ninja Steel era, despite the title saying just Ninja Steel. So this is after Odius returns and the Rangers have their powers back. Brody is shaken from a dream where Odius defeats them and he wants to give them the edge by splitting his star again and giving Mick, and his father their Ranger powers back, but the team tells him it was just a dream that the Nexus Prism hasn't wanted to create any more stars. Brody leaves and is attacked by Lord Drakkon in his Samurai mode, where he morphs but is demorphed by Drakkon's cannon. He decides to repeat what he did and splits his star but this time nothing happens. The Nexus Prism doesn't show up and neither does any new stars, his star is just broken in three. The rest of the team arrives and Drakkon retreats with a piece of Brody's star. Mick uses the Nexus Prism to repair Brody's star while Drakkon gives his piece of it to Finster 5.

This could actually work into the Anniversary episode, and I am really hoping it does. I hope Saban realized how big of an event this was shaping up to be. This could be why 10 former Rangers are on the episode, Drakkon and 9 other former Rangers sent to help defeat him alongside the Ninja Steel Rangers, this would be a great conclusion to the Lord Drakkon/Shattered Grid story. I mean we do have two show writers writing this story.

Overall this is another issue that far exceeds the hype of the event. I can see a lot of strings coming together here, and a lot of potential like I said that could even bring in the show. I know this is ambitious, but the event did extend to HyperForce and even done a live action trailer, so this isn't outside of the realm of possibilities, but admittedly it is a long stretch. The whole team here kills every little moment just drives the excitement and makes this a must not miss event.
I give this an over all of 4 3/4 out of 5 Power Bolts!

Tom Taylor does it again. I feel he really knows how to truly write any character. He gives them so much personality and the humor is organic and never feels forced. I am not going to lie. I would love to see an Old Woman Laura series just to see all these characters in the future and what Tom Taylor would do with them.

BOOM! Studios and Saban Brands announced today that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2018 Annual #1, the next chapter of the historic POWER RANGERS: SHATTERED GRID comic book event that hits stands today, has sold out at a distributor level. To meet the overwhelming demand from fans, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2018 Annual #1 Second Printing Variant will arrive in stores on May 30.


POWER RANGERS: SHATTERED GRID has now immediately sold out of every issue released over the past two months, including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #26 and Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers #8.

POWER RANGERS: SHATTERED GRID unfolds in issues from both Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers and include two special one-shots. Lord Drakkon—a twisted alternate-reality version of Tommy Oliver (AKA the Mighty MorphinGreen Ranger)—and his newly reformed deadly army will cross dimensions in order to execute on a plan that threatens the very existence of every Power Ranger ever. For the first time in comic book history, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will join forces with some of the most popular Power Rangers teams in the franchise to face the threat.

Currently, Power Rangers is celebrating 25 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest running kids’ live-action series in television history with nearly 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise celebrates its milestone anniversary year with the 25th season, Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel currently airing on Saturdays at 12 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S.

Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), a global play and entertainment company, and Saban Properties LLC today announced that the companies have signed a definitive agreement for Hasbro to purchase Saban’s Power Rangers and several other entertainment brands, including My Pet Monster,Popples, Julius Jr., Luna Petunia, TreehouseDetectives and others, in a combination of cash and stock valued at $522 million.

Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers quickly became a pop culture phenomenon. Today, Power Rangers is one of the longest running kids’ live-action series in television history with nearly 900 episodes produced to date. The TV series, currently in its 25th season with Power RangersSuperNinja Steel, and feature films, including 2017’s movie with Lionsgate, follows the adventures of a group of ordinary teens who morph into superheroes and save the world from evil. Saban’s Power Rangers currently airs in 150 markets around the world and is translated into numerous languages.

The first set of products from Hasbro will be available in spring 2019.

Transaction Details:
Hasbro has previously paid Saban Brands $22.25 million pursuant to the Power Rangers master toy license agreement, announced by the parties in February of 2018, that was scheduled to begin in 2019. Those amounts are being credited against the purchase price. Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Hasbro will pay an additional $229.75 million in cash and will issue $270 million worth of Hasbro common stock for the Power Rangers brand and several other entertainment brands. The agreement includes all related intellectual property, category rights and content libraries owned by Saban Properties and its affiliates. The transaction is subject to a number of customary closing conditions, including obtaining required regulatory approvals, and is expected to close during the second quarter of 2018.

The transaction, including intangible amortization expense, is not expected to have a material impact on Hasbro’s 2018 results of operations.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC is serving as financial advisor to Hasbro.

DC Entertainment today announced the name of their upcoming digital streaming service which will be; DC Universe. They also premiered the logo for the service, as well as the initial wave of series joining it. Operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks Group, the new DC Universe digital service will deliver an immersive experience designed just for DC fans.

Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and others. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans will be written by Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery, Underground), Geoff Johns (President & Chief Creative Officer, DC Entertainment; The Flash, Arrow) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl). Goldsman, Johns, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl) are executive producers of the series from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.


Additionally, Warner Bros. Animation’s Young Justice: Outsiders, the highly anticipated third season of the popular Young Justice series, is also ramping up for its first mission later this year. The third season will contain 26 episodes in total with plans for seasons 4 & 5 if it does well!

There is also the recently announced Harley Quinn animated series which will be receiving a 26-episode adult animated series that will be the third show to exclusively air on the DC Universe  streaming service. The series comes from the Powerless creative team of Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey. Much like in Harley’s popular ongoing comic series, the animated series will focus on a Quinn who’s broken things off with the Joker and is attempting to find success in the Gotham City underworld on her own, alongside her friend Poison Ivy and a whole cast of heroes and villains.


The DC Universe streaming service has also optioned a live-action Swamp Thing one-hour television series. Aquaman director James Wan is producing the show through his Atomic Monster shingle, alongside Warner Bros. Television. Wan will be joined by veteran comics-to-screen writer Mark Verheiden is working on the initial Swamp Thing script, along with Gary Dauberman. If the script is approved by DC Entertainment it will skip the pilot stage and be ordered straight to series with an intended 2019 debut.

"When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland - only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous - and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all."

Titans was supposed to be followed by Metropolis, about Lois Lane and super villain Lex Luthor. The live-action drama, which had a 13-episode straight-to-series order for a 2019 debut, will now be redeveloped.

No exact release dates for the DC Universe Streaming App or series have been announced, but it is scheduled to launch in late 2018. A mailing list sign up for more information has been posted set up by DC Universe.

Marvel revealed who they mystery person on the cover to Infinity Wars Prime #1 - Requiem. But this is Marvel so the reveal comes with even more questions like; Who is Requiem?

So far all we know is that Marvel has labeled Requiem as "Death Incarnate." This character doesn't seem to be connected to the Chris Claremont Uncanny X-Men character by the same name.

Trust us, Marvel Fans – before the INFINITY WARS begin to rage comes this shocking chapter of the cosmic saga that you will not want to miss! The ramifications of this issue will be felt throughout Infinity for years to come! We can say NO MORE!
