Comic Frontline is starting a new segment where the crew picks their Top 5 comic panels from the week, and then you guys get to vote below which panel was your favorite. In next week's post I will announce the winner from the poll.

Fan Panel Pick From Last Week - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers 2018 Annual - Gutted!

KAT

3. FCBD Legend of Korra/Arms - Meelo Learns to Help Others

It took a few seasons for Korra to fully understand that being the Avatar isn't always about punching the bad guy, and you can't always use bending to help people. Here she uses her responsibilities as the Avatar to help Meelo learn a life lesson.

2. FCBD Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - RIP Rita

Lord Drakkon is just stabbing everyone!

1. FCBD The Amazing Spider-Man - Evil Roommate

A great cliffhanger to start the new run for Spider-Man.

REGULAR COMICS

5. Injustice 2 #25 - Fight Like Cats And Dogs

I need more interactions between Catwoman and Ace!

4. Go Go Power Rangers #9 - I’m You, You’re Me....

I love Kimberly's reaction here, and glad that Ryan Parrott didn't wait at all to reveal to the Power Rangers who the Ranger Slayer was.

3. Batman #46 - Bruce Shoots Batman!

The visual of Bruce shooting Batman was brilliant!

2. Go Go Power Rangers #9 - It’s Morphin Time!

Just such creative paneling!

1. Go Go Power Rangers #9 - Ranger Slayer Civies

I love that by the end of this issue we don't know what side Kimberly The Ranger Slayer plays for - I have a feeling she plays for own side and we are going to see that unravel as the arc continues. And, damn, you can't beat the first civie reveal of future Kimberly!

BRANT

3. Riverdale - Small Price to Pay?

Man, this story was kind of creepy fun all the way through, but learning Pop may have sold his soul to keep the Choklit Shoppe alive is a little intense.

2. Spider-Man - Daredevil Stole Him!

The one caption of Spidey narrating where he claims Daredevil stole Kingpin who used to be Pete's nemesis is just hilarious. And true. Loved that little blurb.

1. Avengers - Where Are You Going, Surfer?!

So Adam Warlock saves Silver Surfer from Ultron and rejuvenates him with his own cocoon. And how does Surfer repay him? He immediately flies off without a word. Now we know where he went, but poor Warlock was just left by himself without a clue. It was tragic and hilarious at the same time.

REGULAR COMICS

5.  DC Nation #0 - Roger Might Die

"No, no, no, no... maybe." Love this whole story with the Joker in some random dude's house waiting for an invitation to Batman and Catwoman's wedding. It's just the kind of crazy maniacal thing you'd expect the Joker to do. And poor Roger...

4.  Batman #46 - Wait, What?

Oh, Booster, you poor, silly, stupid, crazy broken man from the future. You could see something was coming here with Selina as all she said was "Meeoooww. " When she takes out Alfred and Booster realizes he screwed up yet again it's priceless.

3. Avengers #1 - The Band is Back Together!

This is just a cool nostalgic scene that inspires hope and confidence in the coming story. With our three original Avengers back at the lead it just signals a new "fresh" era.

2. Spider-Man #240 - No Bathroom on the Quinjet?

This whole scene is just charming. Miles is laid up in the hospital after the fight in Latveria and all his Champions teammates are just sitting there chatting about bathrooms on the Quinjet while Miles is asleep. It's totally something teenagers would do. Solid writing here.

1. X-Men Gold #27 - Tell the Universe to Shut Up!

Kitty is having doubts, and Rogue sets her straight. "Do you love him?" The answer is of course a resounding "Yes." So it doesn't matter what anyone or anything says, marry the guy! Great character moment.

JAY

3. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - FCBD 2018 Special - An Audience Granted At A Grave Cost....

I love The Emissaries Three! How cool do they look man? We need this on a season of the show, I want to see them do this cool, never ending morphing of the three main colors of Power Rangers, Red, Blue and Yellow. Man this will be so cool on screen, step it up Hasbro! Zordon essentially sacrificed immortality to help save the world. This also makes his sacrifice in Forever Red not only make more sense but also make it more impactful. But I have to ask, if Zordon can appear in this form in other areas what is up with just being a head in the tube? I mean we know that there is at least enough room for his torso, Dimetria did it in Turbo.

2. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - FCBD 2018 Special - Eventually Every Child Must Grow Up!

WOW look at the looks on their faces! I mean this is why I am loving Shattered Grid right now! They take these bold moves! The emotions are all there, we don't see the moment of the stab, but we know it is there and not seeing it makes it all the more powerful.

1. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - FCBD 2018 Special - Im.... Impossible....

I know a lot of the fandom thought exactly what Rita said here, because like killing Tommy, this is also a huge turning point in the series and franchise.

REGULAR COMICS

5. Action Comics Special #1 - You'll Never Hear Me Say It Again....

This is why Lex Luthor is the best Villain

4. Action Comics Special #1 - Mrs. Superman

See Kat, this is why super heroes need secret identities, family members are easy targets, even a badass like Lois Lane. Could you imagine? Not only did Future Lex send this taunting text, but man he sent it to their son, again this is why he is the best villain ever!

3. Saban's Go, Go Power Rangers #9 - Hello Mr. Scott?

I'm sorry but man, Ryan Parrot just gut punched me here. He said his father was sick and that was the inspiration for this subplot and man you can tell this is from an honest true place, I been there. It was a call from the Dr. that we found out my dad had cancer, so man can I relate to this.

2. Saban's Go, Go Power Rangers #9 - Gulp. Tests?

Again man gut punches do not stop! The emotion in Jason's eyes speak so much, and such truth.

1. Saban's Go, Go Power Rangers #9 - You Don't Burden Them With Your Problems....

I don't know how much more I can take, I may even break here! Again such truth and honesty here, my Dad came from the generation that thought this way and didn't want us to be burdened by this but eventually he told us but still kept that it was terminal secret, so I know the weight on Jason's shoulders in this scene. I loved that the pages were framed in black for them, it really sets the tone and makes them hit home even more. I hope Kyle Higgins sees this scene and works it into a script because Grace keeps saying about the weight of the helmet, trust me, nothing weighs more than this, not even the Red Ranger Helmet, and he came through it.

MIKE SPIDER-SLAYER

2. FCBD The Amazing Spider-Man - Garbage Terrace

First Look: HARBINGER WARS 2 #4 – The Final Battle Commences in August!
THE FINAL BATTLE! LIVEWIRE VS. THE VALIANT UNIVERSE!

Valiant is proud to present your first look at the covers for HARBINGER WARS 2 #4 (of 4)– an unstoppable pulse-pounding climax in the SEISMIC SIX-PART CROSSOVER EVENT that will wreak havoc across the landscape of the Valiant Universe! On August 29th, it all ends here as Eisner Award-nominated writer Matt Kindt (X-O MANOWAR, ETERNITY) and superstar artist Tómas Giorello (X-O MANOWAR) bring the cataclysmic showdown to an unforgettable, heart-stopping conclusion… and when the dust settles, nothing will be the same!

"We called it the biggest, most impactful, most ambitious Valiant event ever attempted – and we meant it! From across the Valiant Universe, the paths of all of the world's most formidable heroes – X-O Manowar, the Harbinger Renegades, Bloodshot, Ninjak, the Secret Weapons, H.A.R.D. Corps, and dozens of newly activated psiots – have finally converged, drawn together by their old ally Livewire's last-ditch effort to protect the powerless."
– Valiant

Now, the long-brewing battle between Valiant's greatest icons will finally reach the stratosphere – literally – and, out of the ashes, a new order for the Valiant Universe will be hewn as New York Times best-selling writer Matt Kindt and comics juggernaut Tomás Giorello present the MUST-READ comics showdown of 2018! On August 29th, no one gets out unscathed in HARBINGER WARS 2 #4– featuring covers by J.G. Jones (Final Crisis), Mico Suayan (BLOODSHOT SALVATION), Juan José Ryp (BRITANNIA), Felipe Massafera (Planet of the Apes/Green Lantern)!

But first! Jump on board the astonishing first issue of HARBINGER WARS 2 when it descends on comic book stores everywhere this month on May 30th! This summer, the most anticipated event in Valiant’s publication history begins in full force as Matt Kindt and Tomás Giorello crack the Valiant Universe in two in HARBINGER WARS 2 #1 (of 4)!

For the rare and immensely powerful subset of humanity known as psiots, their unique abilities have come with an enormous cost. Once, their existence was known only to a select few. Now, the revelation that thousands of these latent telekinetic “harbingers” secretly live among us – with the potential to be activated at any moment – has led the American government to a dramatic tipping point…

Armed with new extra-governmental authority, the deep-black military contractor known as Omen has been authorized to identify, evaluate, and, if need be, eliminate all super-normal threats to the homeland. H.A.R.D. Corps units have been deployed into cities and towns across the United States to enforce their orders.

In the East, one of the most powerful minds on Earth, Peter Stanchek, is leading his band of Renegades across the country, activating any potential psiots willing to join them, and building an insurrection force of ultra-powerful and unwieldy new abilities that will soon bring war to Omen’s doorstep…and the unstoppable force known as X-O Manowar raging back to Earth.

In the West, Livewire– the telekinetic technopath with the ability to bend machines and computers to her will – will be forced to choose between her former allies…or her newfound team of Secret Weapons. As the situation escalates beyond human control, the United States will be plunged into darkness from coast to coast, launching Bloodshot and Ninjak into a dangerous mission to neutralize their one-time teammate – and setting the stage for the most shocking, most violent, and most consequential clash of powers ever witnessed in the history of the Valiant Universe!

On May 30th, master storytellers Matt Kindt and Tomás Giorello offer up an unprecedented collision of Valiant heroes as  X-O Manowar, Livewire, the Harbinger Renegades, Bloodshot, the Secret Weapons, Ninjak, and a cast of thousands draw their battle lines in HARBINGER WARS 2 #1 (of 4)– featuring covers by J.G. Jones (Wanted), Mico Suayan (MOON KNIGHT), Juan José Ryp (NINJA-K), Felipe Massafera (Flashpoint: Abin Sur), and Lewis LaRosa (BLOODSHOT SALVATION)!

Indiegogo the Week with Cold Comfort - A Feature Film

$

0

By: Nicole D’Andria

This week we’re showcasing something a bit different. We’re showcasing a differently crowdfunded project that’s a feature length film! I spoke with two key members of the film’s crew, including the writer/director Brandon Rhiness.

I previously interviewed Brandon Rhinessabout the comic book publishing company he co-founded, Higher Universe Comics. He’s written several of their titles, including Misfit, its spin-off series Elvis the Zombie, Chainsaw Reindeer and Stargirl. Some of his comics, such as Mental Case, are based on web series Brandon has created. He’s the director/writer of Cold Comfort, and if you’re interested in seeing his other film-related work, several of his short films based on these comics are available online, including: I'm in Love with a Dead Girl, Mental Case, Mental Case 2 and Stoner Kid (1st episode)

The Cold Comfort crew also includes Director of Photography Katie Gobert, whose camera work can be seen in shorts such as The Zombie Apocalypse in Apartment 14F and Bouquet of Decay. There is also Producer Michael Schaar-Ney, who has also worked as an actor and writer. His film The Moustache recently premiered in LA and will be having another showing at the end of this month in New York.

The film crew is trying to raise $12,000, but their budget is flexible. Some perks you can get include a thanks in the credits ($1), postcards ($15), any comic book from the Higher Universe library ($25) and even tickets to the premiere ($50) and the script to the film ($50). You can view more perks on their Indiegogo campaign here

But for more in-depth info that you can’t find on there, check out my interview with Brandon and Mike below!

Brandon Rhiness

Me: What is the movie Cold Comfort about and what are some important themes viewers can take from the film?

Rhiness: Cold Comfort is about a young woman who wakes up, locked in a room with no memory of how she got there. She soon discovers she’s been kidnapped and she must use her wits to escape. What makes the film different is that you never see the kidnappers, you only hear them talking outside the room.

The woman is obviously at a huge disadvantage since she’s locked in the room with no resources, but she begins picking up little tidbits of information about the kidnappers from hearing them talking through the walls. She uses this information to play the kidnappers off each other and manipulate her way out of the situation.

As for themes, I’ve never really thought about themes in any of the comic books or films I’ve written. All the talk about “theme” and “subtext” and all that stuff used to bore me when I was in school, so now that I write for a living, I tend not to give it a lot of thought. Lol.

I’m sure there are themes to this film, but I’d rather leave that up to the viewer to decide. I’m sure my co-creators have their own ideas, but this is the way I see it.

Cold Comfort Set

Me: What initially inspired the creation of Cold Comfort and did you always know it would be a full-length feature film?

Rhiness: Yeah, it was a full-length movie right from the beginning. I’d been working on other film projects with Katie Gobert and Michael Schaar-Ney, my two Cold Comfortco-creators, including Motel 13, The Man in the Box and The Gray House. But those are all bigger-budget films and since none of us had produced a full-length movie before (and I have never directed one), we decided to start smaller.

So Katie and I came up with a simple concept that could be done with a very small cast on a very small budget. And so Cold Comfort was born. We brought it to Mike to see if he’d like to come on board and he did!

Me: How did you connect with the other major players of the film, Director of Photography Katie Gobert and Producer Michael Schaar-Ney?

Rhiness: I met Mike a few years ago when I was casting for my web series, Mental Case. Mike auditioned for a part and that’s where we first met. We ended up working on other projects together and soon began partnering on things.

As for Katie, she read my horror script, The Man in the Box, when a producer gave it to her to get her thoughts. That producer ended up passing on the project, but Katie loved it. She waited a year before reaching out to me. We met for coffee and she said she liked the script and wanted to know if I’d like to partner on it. We became co-producers on it and we shot a 5-minute proof-of-concept trailer that you can find on YouTube. Since then, Katie and I have been working on other projects together.

Katie Gobert

Me: You serve as both a writer and director on the film. What are your favorite aspects of each job and do you have one you prefer more than the other?

Rhiness: I prefer writing. Lol. You have so much more control over the project when you’re just sitting alone, typing on a laptop. Lol.

I have a lot more experience writing than I do directing. I’m still learning how to direct, but I still like it.

Me: This is your first feature length film. What about the process surprised you and what do you feel are the most important takeaways you have from this experience so far?

Rhiness: I’ve done several short films before, but a feature is quite different. No matter how much you plan and work to make it as simple as possible, it’s always more complex than you think. Lol. My thoughts going in were – 80% of this movie takes place in one room with one actor, that should be easy. Of course, that’s not the case.

My work on short films definitely gave me some practice moving into features, but I guess I’ll have to wait until Cold Comfort is finished before I decided what I’ve taken away from the process.

Higher Universe Comics are a possible reward for pledging the Indiegogo campaign.

Me: How did you pick Skylar Radzion to play the protagonist of the film, Melody?

Rhiness: When it came time to choose an actor for the main role of Melody, there really wasn't any discussion. It was Skylar Radzion from day one. I've worked with Skylar before on a few projects and she puts so much work into her characters. I knew she would be able to pull it off. It's a hard role because not only does she have to play the main role of Melody, but she also has to play an evil version of Melody. Skylar puts everything she has into her acting, so I'm glad she agreed to star in Cold Comfort

Cold Comfort Actress Skylar Radzion

Me: What is the number one reason why you think people should help fund your film on Indiegogo?

Rhiness: Because you can get some cool stuff in return! We’re not giving away crappy perks like digital pictures or behind-the-scenes photos (we give those away free on the Facebook page). Lol. You can get some of the comics I write and publish under my company Higher Universe Comics. You can get the movie poster, a copy of the script, tickets to the premiere (if you live near Edmonton).

But another cool thing is that every person who donates gets their name in the credits and on imdb. So even with a small donation you can be a part of movie history!

Me: What inspirational words do you have for aspiring movie writers?

Rhiness: If I can do it, you can do it! Even three years ago, being a screenwriter was just a pipe dream. But I worked hard at it and pitched my scripts to anyone who’d listen. Next thing I know, I’m selling scripts and people are paying me to write. Now it’s my main job! So it is possible and if you practice enough and are willing to put yourself and your work out there, you can get your script produced!

Me: What inspirational words do you have for aspiring movie directors?

Rhiness: I see this advice everywhere, but it’s true – you can shoot a movie with your friends using a phone if you want. Just start writing simple, short scripts and shooting them. Get lots of practice. Then you can move up to saving money and spending some on more complex shoots. When you get good enough, people will start giving you money to make films. Just practice lots and start making cool stuff!

Michael Schaar-Ney (left)

Me: What was it about the pitch Cold Comfort that made you want to come on board?

Schaar-Ney: Well, to be honest, it took about three seconds for me to decide! Brandon and I have worked on so many projects together that it was easy to come on board when he asked.

Me: What was your favorite thing about the script?

Schaar-Ney: My favorite thing about the script is that it will be a new challenge for us as filmmakers to get it right. It's our first "one room masterpiece" and there are a great number of specific things that we will need to get just right to pull it off. This is my favorite aspect of the film because I enjoy being challenged, and rising up to that challenge.

Me: As your first feature-length film, how has this process differed from your previous projects and have you learned any important takeaways from the experience?

Schaar-Ney: It hasn't really differed from my other projects, but simply because I am very methodical. I approach each project with the same work ethic because I have found a rhythm that works best for me. That being said, because it is a feature-length, there were more challenges leading up to shooting this one than usual. Luckily, Cold Comfort has a great team of professionals behind it. And as far as taking something away from it, I try to do that with every project. It will be exciting once it is in the can, and I get to start the process of finding a buyer for it.

One of Schaar-Ney's recent short films

Me: Can you tell us more about what your work ethic entails?

Schaar-Ney: My work ethic has stayed the same since I was an athlete, with the idea that you have to strive to be better than you were the last time. That's how I approach each new project, and I believe that through hard work and mutual respect for the people you work with, you will get better at what you do, while building a good reputation at the same time. I hope that everyone who works with me, wants to work with me again, and so that's what I strive for.

Me: What is the number one reason why you think people should help fund your film on Indiegogo?

Schaar-Ney: For sure the biggest reason for people to get involved is to support the film industry in Alberta. That may seem like a stretch, but here's why. People can get one of the many cool perks from the Indiegogo campaign for a very reasonable price. Anyone that donates gets their name in the "Thanks" section, which is unheard of for a non-indie film. But what people don't realize is that by donating to Cold Comfort, you are giving us the best chance to get this film made, and then sold. And in the end, that will benefit every Albertan who is trying to get a foothold in the film market. By doing this, we are hoping to forge a mutually beneficial relationship with a distributor. When that happens, they will see the value Alberta made films will hold, and hopefully start an era of them coming to us for content.

Cold Comfort Set

Me: What initially inspired you to get involved in the film industry later in your life?

Schaar-Ney: I was an international athlete for many years, and when my body stopped doing what I was asking it to do, I decided I needed to start a hobby. I was in a play at The Citadel when I was 13, and I thought it was magical. Sports took over the rest of my life until about three years ago, and I decided to take an acting for stage course at The Citadel. My wonderful instructor, Liana Shannon, was inspirational to me, and when I completed the course, I asked her, "so... what do I do now?" After she stopped laughing at me, she told me to do as much as I can, stage, film, whatever. And so I did. In the first year after the course, I had been in around two dozen short films, mostly as an extra, and then some speaking parts. It didn't take me long to figure out that I didn't have a career in Hollywood as an actor in my future, but I found that I really loved the behind the camera stuff.

Me: Since you've worked in numerous capacities within the industry, which would you say has been your favorite and why?

Schaar-Ney: Directing is definitely my favorite part of the whole process. I do very much enjoy many of the seemingly mundane tasks of the producer, with location scouting at the top of that list. It's very gratifying to know that however well the film will come out looking is a direct correlation to your work as a location scout. But being the director, getting to help tell a story that I love, getting the most out of the cast and crew, is an amazing feeling for me.

On the set of The Mustache

Me: What inspirational words do you have for aspiring producers?

Schaar-Ney: I hate to say it, but it is hard work. Being sure that all the different departments are as prepared as they can be, and organizing them to all come together and make something wonderful isn't easy. But when it all comes together, it is pretty amazing. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, so persevere, don't back down... and have a lot of fun.

Me: And for aspiring actors and writers out there in the film industry, what inspirational words do you have for them?

Schaar-Ney: Actors... You need to be able to adapt to rejection, because there is a lot of it. From a producer’s point of view, sometimes it has nothing to do with your abilities, and that is what you have to remember. Sometimes it is based completely on look, and you will have a hard time changing that... so work at what you can. Get better, take courses, act in everything you can. George Clooney said that he would go into an audition knowing that he didn't have the part when he walked through the door. So when he walked out, if he didn't book the part, it was in no way different than when he walked in. After I heard that quote, I was much more confident in auditions, and I didn't worry about it. I would sometimes get a callback for something I completely forgot that I had auditioned for.

Writers... Get it down on paper. However you need to do that, just do it. I write an outline on index cards and plan the whole thing out. It gives me a good way to see it as an overview. Then just write it as it comes out of you. You can edit and cut and trim and move everything later, but if you don't get it on the paper, it may as well just stay in your brain forever. And we need good stories to tell.

Me: Thanks for taking the time to talk shop and give us some cold comfort, Brandon and Mike! If you’re reading this and interested in the film, check out the Cold Comfort Indiegogo.

ASPEN DEBUTS TWO NEW SERIES WITH DISSENSION: WAR ETERNAL AND NU WAY THIS JULY

On the heels of their Worlds of Aspen 2018Free Comic Book Day offering that premiered zero issues of their brand new titles, Dissension: War Eternal and Nu Way, Aspen Comics is set to release both series this July.

In association with ZMX Comics, the publisher is releasing the sci-fi action-adventure Nu Way #1 on July 11th by writer J.T. Krul (Jirni, Michael Turner’s Soulfire) with art by Alex Konat (Michael Turner’s Fathom, Eternal Soulfire) and colors by John Starr (Executive Assistant: Iris, Jirni) with lettering by Sal Cipriano (The Flash) featuring covers by Konat, Ryan Odagawa, Harvey Tolibao, Jordan Gunderson and more to be announced.

In the future, technology continues to dominate every aspect of civilization, and nowhere is it more on display than the city of New Sheng, a vast metropolis where those with means live high amongst the lights and those without wallow in the shadows below. In his desperate struggle to reach a better life, a young fighter named Zihao has sacrificed his body in the ring and now prepares to pay an even bigger price in order to battle in the main arena with the elite cybernetically-enhanced warriors. But will seeing another lost soul from his past make his climb easier or harder?

NU WAY #1b – RYAN ODAGAWAMAY181420
NU WAY #1c – RYAN SOOK (TBA)MAY181421

Also, Aspen will be releasing Dissension: War Eternal on July 25th, an all-new action-adventure series by creator and artist Jordan Gunderson (Aspen Universe: Revelations, The Four Points) along with co-writer Christopher Fielder with art by Gunderson, Luis Guerrero (The Flash) and lettering by Taylor Esposito (Shrugged, BubbleGun). Dissension will feature future covers by Gunderson, Elias Chatzoudis, Marcus To, Kevin Sharpe, Siya Oum and more to be revealed.

The U.S. has spent several years embroiled in a conflict with the invading forces of China. In the war zone of the American Southwest, small bands of freedom fighters have formed to help guide refugees away from the destruction. Isabel Vasquez, known to her squad as "Delphi", has been leading rescue missions inside the combat zone for years. Escorting those displaced from the war has fueled her faith that she is making a difference. But now that faith is increasingly tested by reoccurring nightmares of a coming apocalypse. She fears the war is only the beginning of a great threat...one that promises to bring humanity to the brink of extinction!

Unbeknownst to Delphi, a band of renegade angels has fled Heaven seeking a new refuge. The Earth has become their new home, where they view humanity as a plague that must be purged. As their path forges ahead toward global genocide, it is yet to be decided if Delphi and her growing visions of a global Armageddon can help stop them in time.

Kickstart the Week(end) with Stealth Comic Book Series Launch!

By: Nicole D’Andria

Short Fuse Media has published numerous titles that we’ve covered before on Comic Frontline, including our very own Comic Uno’s series Like Father, Like Daughteras well as superhero series like Nightwasp. Now we have another superhero series, Stealth, which marks the beginning of Short Fuse Media’s new division of comics, Red Band!

Stealth follows the adventures of Allen White, a teacher by day and a vigilante by night in Terminus City. Publisher Sean Mack of Short Fuse Media is writing the plots and series creator William Satterwhite is doing the dialogue and letters. The art team includes Caius Schereiner on pencils/inks and Michael Woods on colors.

The creators are looking to reach their $4,000 by May 20, 2018 at 5:00 PM EDT. The funding will go toward producing new issues of the ongoing Stealth comic book series. Rewards include digital and print issues from the Stealth series ($5+) as well as the Red Band digital ($10) and printed ($20) bundle, which includes numerous Short Fuse Media titles. You can check out the rest of their awards on their Kickstarter here.

I spoke with writers Sean Mack and William Satterwhite about Stealth and the future of the Red Band division of titles from Short Fuse Media.

Sean Mack
Me: How would you describe Allen White’s character and his double-life as both a teacher and a vigilante?

Satterwhite: Allen is very intelligent and highly perceptive, which is kind of a gift and a curse. He’s the kind of person who, for good or bad, often overthinks everything. The Stealth alter-ego is kind of his outlet to just not think things through as much, which again has both good and bad connotations. Coming from something of a privileged background he, like his older brother before him, has a strong sense of wanting to give back so to speak, which leads to his pulling some strings and putting together the STEM magnet program he teaches at his old high school.

Me: What can you tell us about the obstacles Allen will be facing, both in the classroom and as Stealth?

Satterwhite: One of the main obstacles, I think, is just life in general—here he is as a 22-23 year old guy just out of college and making his way in the world. That’s one of the things I tried touching on in this first issue in one scene in particular where he and another character are having a conversation and she has to break it down to him that at this point in their lives perhaps more than any other point they are not necessarily in places where they have full control and have to make compromises they would prefer not to have to make. In a sense this will extend to both his day job and night job, so to speak, as he has to deal with forces very much beyond his control even as a vigilante—it’s one thing to be out fighting crime when the police tolerate you, but what happens if you cross their line having known nothing but support?

Another thing that Allen catches on to early on is that the kids he is tasked with teaching are
William Satterwhite
a bit smarter than most would give them credit for, which is something that is going to affect both of his world’s as well.

Me: With Sean writing the plots and William writing the dialog, what does a typical session of collaborating together on Stealth look like?

Mack: The process was pretty simple, I think. (You’d have to ask William if he wanted to kill me at any point during the process though. LOL.) I wrote an outline of what I felt should take place in the story scene by scene and turned it over to William. William then fleshed out the scenes a bit and added dialog that fit within what he had already established in the series.

Satterwhite: Ha! It was actually very interesting, Sean had a strong vision for using a very topical story to expand and explore the wider Short Fuse/Red Band umbrella and it was fun fitting all of the pieces together. As he alludes to, there were a few times in the process where I questioned a few things, but I think that’s part and parcel with any collaborative writing process. It was also, admittedly, a bit of me being… a bit too possessive, I guess you could say, of Stealth and his world. You have to understand, this has all been largely under my full control for years, so at every little thing I’m like “would Stealth really do that?” only to ultimately wrap my brain around the fact that, yeah, he probably would. :)

Me: You previously worked with multiple charitable organizations to donate copies of Stealth #0 to kids. How did this event go and what was the overall effect that you saw?

Mack: Hero Nation Ypsilanti is based pretty close to our home office in Michigan. I was aware that they had completed a crowdfunding initiative to send a ton of kids to see the Black Panther movie, but then it was brought to my attention that Lion Forge was donating books to the event. Being that Short Fuse is local to Hero Nation, I felt it made sense for us to help out. Once announcements were made that we were helping out with the Hero Nation event, we began receiving requests from other organizations like Mighty Jon to help out as well. I even had the pleasure of doing a few speaking engagements at some of the youth screenings that we participated in and the kids seemed really into it. The best response was from the parents though as we received a ton of contacts that offered support to what we are building with Stealth as well as Short Fuse Media as a whole.

Me: This title is spearheading your Red Band division of titles. What can you tell us about Red Band and Stealth’s future in it?

Mack: Stealth will be the standard of what can be expected for titles that appear in our Red Band division. We wanted to have a division where the stories were a bit grittier as well as a bit more grounded in the real world. What’s interesting to note is that Stealthis the first title on our roster that features appearances from other characters across our entire publishing roster. So that alone should show just how important Stealth is to the future of not only the Red Band division but to Short Fuse Media Group overall.

Me: Could you describe a few of the titles in detail that are available in the Red Band Digital Bundle?

Mack: The Red Band bundle will include a single digital comic from each title on the Red Band roster (including Stealth #1 of course).

Moros (#1) tells the story of a detective in Bay City that uses an illegal drug to clean up crime in his city.

Knight Hunter (#0) explores how a young man named Trent comes to have powers that can potentially kill him if he uses them.

Spirit’s Destiny (#1) focuses on a young Haitian lady who makes a fatal decision that will thrust her into a spiritual war with evil forces pulling at her from inside of her and outside.

Finally we have They Call Her...The Dancer (#1), which gives us a look at Mia, a ballet dancer with a dark past and a superb skill set in martial arts who wants to effect change in people’s lives the only way she can...by eliminating evil people.

Me: Can you tell us more about your #WeAlwaysDeliver Campaign Promise and how you’re able to achieve this?

Mack: Being an indie publisher, one of the drawbacks that separate us from the major publishers is having the resources to consistently produce and release product. Platforms like Kickstarter have helped balance those drawbacks a bit as it affords creators the opportunity to bypass third parties, collect funds in a pre-order format and deliver directly to consumers. But we don’t live in a perfect world where everyone uses these platforms responsibly. To that end we began our #WeAlwaysDeliver campaign promise. It’s basically our way of letting new supporters know while also reminding previous supporters that historically we have always delivered on the promises of our campaigns.

To do this, we produce our projects prior to the campaign even starting. That way, as the projects near or surpass the funding goal, which we use to recoup production expenses, we send the projects off to the printer so that when the campaign is complete, we should already have the prints and additional rewards back and we can immediately begin fulfilling rewards for supporters as long as their pledge has cleared. We’ve used this strategy on our last four campaigns and it has worked really well with great feedback from our supporters.

Stealth Page

Me: What is the number one reason why you think someone should pledge Stealth?

Mack: Because it’s AWESOME!!! The artwork is amazing and the story is top notch. But at the same time, it provides a different take on some truly classic tropes while showing how those tropes are relevant in today’s social climate.

Me: What inspirational words do you have for aspiring comic book writers?

Satterwhite: I grew up in the Jordan/Nike era so I have what amounts to a stock answer here—just do it. With the internet being what it is and all of the tools available to publish material, I would say there is no excuse for a writer with stories to tell to not be hooked up with an artist and to not be doing at least a webcomic. Yes it’s going to be hard to stand out from the pack but it’s easier to stand out with something than it is with nothing.

Me: Thank you for taking the time to let us know more about the world of Stealth and Short Fuse Media. If you’re reading this and interested in checking out the campaign, you can see it here.

Top 5 Panels of the Week - 5/9/18

Comic Frontline is starting a new segment where the crew picks their Top 5 comic panels from the week, and then you guys get to vote below which panel was your favorite. In next week's post I will announce the winner from the poll.

Fan Panel Pick From Last Week - X-Men Gold #27 - Tell the Universe to Shut Up!

    KAT

    5. Batman: White Knight #8 - The Unmasking

I want to read more from a world where Commissioner Gordon knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, give me a sequel for Batman: White Knight.

    4. Detective Comics #980 - I Believe You

I've always loved Cassandra and Stephanie's friendship. They have such different personalities that the contrast just works. I liked seeing a glimmer of their friendship here. Even calling Batman, Mr. Broods-A-Lot was a very Stephanie thing to say.

    3. Detective Comics #980 - Spoiler to Batgirl

THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING! This hasn't been Steph's best self, and I love that we got a glimmer of the Stephanie I love.

    2. Detective Comics #980 - I’m Freaking Awesome!

This is the first time in a long time that I've heard Stephanie's voice! This is why I love her character so much. She's the underdog, everyone overlooks her, but time-and-time again she proves everyone wrong. SHE'S FREAKING AWESOME!

    1. Runaways #9 - Power Pack, The Youngest Heroes of Marvel

This was such a poetic ending for Julie. She was a member of the Power Pack, once known as the youngest heroes of the Marvel universe. Rainbow Rowell gives us a great cliffhanger, while Kris Anka pours so much emotion onto this page as Julie processes what has happened to her and the current state of her relationship with Karolina.

    BRANT

    5. Domino #2 - We Are NOT the Avengers!

Domino just got tossed out the window, and this collective of heroes are NOT the ones to cross. Love how they all just basically said your life is worthless to these villains. haha

    4.  Backways #5 - Mission Accomplished

Is Coyote evil after all? Has Anna been trusting the wrong person this whole time? I guess we'll see in volume 2!

    3. Betrothed #3 -Why? WHY?!

Man, this guy just can't catch a break. They're all teleported naked, but when they reappear everyone gets clothes but him. I have a feeling I'd have that same luck. Priceless.

    2. Detective Comics #980 - I'm Freaking Awesome!

I read this entire arc to catch up, and I have to say the payoff of the reemergence of Stephanie here was worth it!

    1. Despicable Deadpool #300 - Oh, No. You're Right!

Gerry Dugan himself after Deadpool tells him he just stole the end of Morrison's Animal Man run. He's making fun of himself, Deadpool, and Marvel with the $25 issue gag. This is just a hilarious scene that doesn't end so well for Mr. Duggan on his final issue! :)

    JAY

    5. Sideways #4 - Go, Go Sideways Rangers....

I know even when there isn't a Power Ranger book out I manage to find a Power Rangers panel! Come on, that is a Power Rangers cosplay suit there! She made up her own Ranger! It has the diamonds, the buckle Morpher, and the gloves are tuckef in there too. Now I MUST see the Helmet! BRING ME THE HELMET!!!!

    4. Runaways #9 - My New Wheels!

Move aside ladies, Victor Mancha is gone, make room for Victor Roomba! I want one of these!!!! I can see these making their way to Comic Cons, grab your Roomba, a manikin head, some cool shades and you have yourself Victor Roomba, the perfect companion to any Runaways cosplay!

    3. The Flash #46 - The Flash Age!

The Flash has always been the guidepost by which the ages of comics were measured. I know modern "collectors" (and by "collectors" I mean the people who need those "key issues" so they can jack up the price and sell them online when a movie comes out) recreated the eras, but to me this will always be the eras. They are measured by The Flash!

    2. Detective Comics #980 - They Let Me....

When I saw Cassandra's history being revealed, I had the biggest smile ear-to-ear! Then this panel comes, five simple words and GUT PUNCH! Come on DC give Cassandra back this costume and the name Black Bat!

    1. Batman: White Knight #8 - Dear Bruce....

Everyone should know by now that I am a sucker for a father/son scene, and this is a great one. Anyone Ssn who lost their father would understand and relate to Bruce with this letter from Alfred. I read this scene over 50 times and every time was a gut punch. This letter proves that Alfred is more than just Bruce's father, he is or should I say was his Dad! I want a sequel to this pronto!

    MIKE SPIDER-SLAYER

    5.  Sideways #4 - You Really Suck At This

Setting a Villian on fire and then blowing him up.Yeah I say you do suck. However that is what makes Sideways such a great comic.

    4. Domino #2 - The Western Grip

The Western Grip a particular grip you use while playing tennis to create heavy topspin on the ball. Never knew you could use it with a sword.

    3. Batman: White Knight #8 - World's Greatest Detective?

    Thanks Captain Obvious!!

    2. Hunt For Wolverine Adamantium Agenda #1 - Do They Have To Be Alive?

Having the group come up with a solution to defuse the bomb was great thought it was hilarious for Luke Cage to take it as far as to find a dead body to flip the switch. Spider-Man's reaction was hilarious.

    1. Domino #2 - Out of Shape Hulk

Who would have thought Amadeus would be so out of shape for crying out loud he is the Hulk? He only ran 2 blocks and he was going to die or barf or barf then die, or both LOL.

Top 5 Panels of the Week - 5/9/18

Batman: White Knight #8 - The Unmasking
    Detective Comics #980 - I Believe You
Detective Comics #980 - Spoiler to Batgirl

Power Rangers: Shattered Grid Reaches Its Epic Conclusion in August 2018
BOOM! Studios and Saban Brands Deliver An Unforgettable End To The Comic Book Event

BOOM!Studios and Saban Brands announced today the final chapters of POWER RANGERS: SHATTERED GRID, available at comic shops in August 2018. It’s the beginning of the end as Power Rangers from across time and space come together for one of the biggest battles in any of their histories. Meanwhile, the Ranger Slayer faces down the one Ranger who might be able stop her.

In Saban’s Go Go Power Rangers #12, from writer Ryan Parrott and artist Dan Mora, the Rangers team up with an unlikely ally to battle Rita’s new monster as the Ranger Slayer inches ever further towards her goal. This issue features a main cover by Dan Mora, with variant covers by Miguel Mercado (Over The Garden Wall), Audrey Mok (Archie) and Natacha Bustos (Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur).

Then, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #30, from writer Kyle Higgins and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo, it’s the team up between every Ranger left standing against the unrivaled power of Drakkon, while a covert team led by Grace embarks on what might be their last mission ever. This issue features a main cover by Jamal Campbell (Green Arrow), with variant covers by Jordan Gibson (America) and Joana LaFuente (Transformers).

It all comes to a conclusion in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Shattered Grid #1, the oversized finale to the epic comic book event from Higgins and Di Nicuolo that changes everything for the Power Rangers in ways no one ever expected. This issue features a main cover by Jamal Campbell, with variants covers by Chris Burnham (Batman Incorporated) and Christian Ward (Black Bolt).

Right off the heels of the DC Entertainment announcement naming their upcoming digital streaming service, DC Universe. They also announced the initial wave of series joining it, now today they are adding to the impressive line up of original content with a live-action Doom Patrol series.

The series will pick up events from the previously announced and in DC Universe Titans series, where characters from the show will debut. The members of the Doom Patrol confirmed to appear in Titans are Bruno Bichir as The Chief / Niles Caulder, April Bowlby as Rita Farr Dayton / Elasti-Girl, Jake Michaels as Cliff Steele / Robot-Man, and Dwain Murphy as Lawrence Trainor / Negative Man. Titans will feature Ryan Potter as ex-Doom Patrol member Beast Boy, but it is unknown whether the role will extend to Doom Patrol. Victor Stone / Cyborg will also play a role in Doom Patrol, though its unclear whether he'll appear in Titans before joining the show.

Doom Patrol has received a 13-one-hour-episode order, and is scheduled to premiere in 2019 with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, Jeremy Carver, and Sarah Schechter. The series will be written by Jeremy Carver.
"Doom Patrol is a re-imagining of one of DC’s most beloved group of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The Doom Patrol's members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities — but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence — and to protect Earth from what they find. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of Titans, Doom Patrol will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same."
    — Official Description

No exact release date or price point for the DC Universe Streaming App or any release dates of the series have been announced, but it is scheduled to launch in late 2018. A mailing list sign up for more information has been set up by DC Universe.

A rift between world has opened, revealing a space beyond the Dreaming. Meanwhile, a book from Lucien's library of all the unwritten books ever dreamed is discovered by a group of children in the waking world.
Simultaneously, a new House appears - the House of Whispers - joining the Houses of Secret and Mystery in the Dreaming. Its proprietor is a fortune teller called Erzulie, whom the inhabitants of the Dreaming suspect may be responsible for all the strange goings on.
Elsewhere, Lucifer has fallen again, only this time he might be in a hell of his own design.

There is a place where gods are born and stories spun. But twenty-three years after he was anointed as its master, Dream of the Endless has inexplicably abandoned the dreaming. His absence triggers a series of crimes and calamities which consume the lives of those already tangled in his fate, among them Lucien the Librarian, Nuala of Faerie, and Dora, a monstress without memories. But while they struggle to restore the King to his throne, they face from intrigues within and conquest from without. As usurpers circle the defenseless domain and an impossible shadow awaits its own birth beside a rip in reality, denizens of the dreaming play out their stories of loss and love, resignation and resistance.

Latoya is in a coma. Her Girlfriend enlists the help of Latoya's two younger sisters. Using the Book of Whispers, they mistakenly steal the essence of Erzulie, a deity of voodoo mythology. The psychic blowback of the spell causes her house to crash into the Dreaming, beside the Houses of Secrets and Mystery and their custodians, Cain and Abel.
In the real world, the awakened young woman suffers a mystical form of Cortard's Delusion - she believes she is already dead, and she is transmitting her beliefs to others, causing them to become guardians of the Gap that has appeared in the Dreaming.

A few years ago, the devil vanished. Some people say he died or simply ran away, while others believe he never existed at all. But we aren't some people. No. This is the one true story of what happened to the Prince of Lies, the Bringer of Light - Lucifer, the blind, destitute old man, who lives in a small boarding house in a quiet little town, where nothing is quiet what it seems and no one can leave. He's trapped, you see? Trapped in a bizarre prison with no memory of how he got there or why. Meanwhile in Los Angeles, a policeman who may have cancer is tasked with a mission of divine importance: find and kill Lucifer.

      BOOKS OF MAGIC
      Written By: Kat Howard
      Art By: Tom Fowler
      Promo Art By: Kai Carpenter
Timothy Hunter is destined to become the most powerful magician in the universe, but that doesn't mean he gets to cut class, skip exams, or is impervious to bullying by his mundane peers. After all, he's still a london teenager and having magical abilities complicates things more than it helps. And while Tim's trying to study and attract the cute girl in his class, there are cultists who want to kill him, believing his power will eventually corrupt him, turning him into a merciless mage. Luckily, the new substitute teacher for his school wants to mentor hima and educate him in the magical arts so that he can discover the master behind the Books of Magic....

Kickstart the Week with RED WINTER #1 - A Crime/Noir Comic Book Tale

      0

      By: Nicole D’Andria

This time we’re showcasing a crime/noir comic book that takes place in the Russian criminal underworld. The beginning of a four issue mini-series, Red Winter is made to appeal to fans of comic book scribes like Jason Aaron and Ed Brubaker, as well as prose writers like Dennis Lehane, Michael Connelly and Charlie Huston.

Red Winter begins with Eli Winter, a former NYPD Detective living in Moscow who’s now working for local crime boss Nikolai Dubrovsky as a fixer/bag man/enforcer. He’s looking into the destruction of one of Dubrovsky’s meth labs, which led to the death of several of his men and the loss of his product. But when Eli finds out the person behind the murders was his son Joseph, he needs to protect his son from an entire gang out for revenge.

The mini-series is written by Michael Gordon (Transdimensional, Stan Lee’s Lucky Man: The Bracelet Chronicles). Pencils/inks are done by Francisco Munoz (If Anthology 2017), colors by Rolands Kalnins (Tales of the Fractured Mind) and letters by Nikki Sherman (Detached:Into the Compasphere). The cover artist is 2017 Ghost City Comics competition finalist Chris Shehan (Deadbeat, Prometheus).

The goal of the project was to reach $949 and it already has more than double its initial goal. The project will end on June 1, 2018 at 5:01 AM EDT. Rewards include digital (about $2.71) and physical (about $7) copies of Red Winter #1 as well as posters (about $13). You can check out the rest of their rewards on their Kickstarter page.

      Michael Gordon

Me: You’ve mentioned that fans of Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillips, Jason Aaron and Frank Miller will enjoy this story. What about Red Winter harkens back to stories these creators have written and how would you say your story is unique from all of them?

Gordon: I've always loved the crime genre, in comics and in film and in prose. It's probably my favourite genre, and Red Winter is my comic book love letter to all the great crime fiction I've read over the years. Red Winter features bad people making bad decisions, but also has an underlying element of pathos to it that I feel the best crime stories have. Comics like Criminal and Kill Or Be Killed by Brubaker/Phillips are big touchstones for me, as are Scalped, 100 Bullets, Batman: Year One and Sin City. I love how those stories give you morally complex characters in situations that beg the question “What would you do?” Would you do the right thing and risk getting killed for it? Or would you do the wrong thing and end up six feet under just as quick?

I would say Red Winter is unique from those stories because of the character of Eli Winter and the setting of Kapotnya. At its core, it is a crime noir story and deals with some similar tropes (like all crime tales), but Eli and his potentially ill-fated journey towards redemption make it stand out.

Me: What can you tell us about Eli and Joseph Winter and how their relationship will affect the story?

Gordon: Eli and his son Joseph barely have any relationship to speak of when the story starts. Hell, Joseph's real name is Eli Jr, but he refuses to be called that because he hates his father so much! You could say that they are estranged, but that maybe indicates that they had some sort of close relationship before having a falling out, whereas I've tried to hint in the book that Eli has been such a bad parent/person that Joseph has no relationship with him at all. It's why it's such a surprise when Joseph turns up needing his dad's help; they haven't even spoken in years. It also gives an extra element of sadness to the fact that Eli then decides to protect his son in a misguided attempt at redemption; maybe he thinks one final act of good towards his son can erase years of neglect?

      Red Winter #1 Page 1

Me: Why did you decide to set the story in Moscow versus anywhere else and how will the setting play a role in Red Winter?

Gordon: The setting of Kapotnya, the most crime-ridden district of Moscow, is integral to the story. I decided to set the story there because, when I was formulating the character of Eli Winter, I knew I wanted to put him somewhere completely alien to him. Somewhere that he would hate with every fiber of his being, but knew he couldn't leave because of the bad decisions he'd made in his life. It means Eli bumps up against everything; he hates the food, he hates how cold it is, he hates that he struggles to speak the language. Put all of that on top of the fact that he hates working for Dubrovsky and it makes for a super interesting (and extremely grumpy) character!

I was also aware, to a certain extent, of the organized crime element in Russia as I had watched a few documentaries on the subject and read some books/articles. It then became pretty obvious to me that this disgraced New York cop being forced to live in the most dangerous part of Russia was a story vein I really wanted to tap!

      Red Winter #1 Page 2

Me: Did you have to do any research on the area when writing about it? What was the most interesting thing you learned about it?

Gordon: Oh yes! I did quite a bit of research on Kapotnya when I was putting the series together. Sometimes it can be easy to fall down a research rabbit hole, especially when the subject is so interesting, but I found after a few weeks of internet research I had enough that I could pepper throughout the story to add colour to the world Eli operates in.

Both of the most interesting things I found out will play big roles in the story as it develops in #2 and beyond, and one of them is mentioned in #1: how a huge colony of homeless people live under the superheated pipes beneath the Moscow Oil Refinery. Eli relates to them, because it's the only place they can survive, but living there is making them sicker every day.

I also found out about a drug named “Krokodil,” which is a homemade heroin substitute that was rife in poor areas. It was given the nickname krokodil (or “crocodile”) because its poisonous effects turned the skin of addicts scaly! This drug and its users will come into play as the story develops, for sure.

      Red Winter #1 Page 3

Me: You've already reached your goal on Kickstarter. What do you plan to do with the extra money earned during the campaign? Are there any stretch goals planned?

Gordon: Any extra money earned from the campaign will go towards funding #2! Francisco, Rolands and Nikki put so much time and effort into the #1 pages and they'll do that again for future issues, so having funds available to properly remunerate them for their work is very important. Indie comics are hard, so having a pot of cash available always helps!

I am planning to announce a Stretch Goal sometime in the middle of the campaign. I'm still sorting out the finer details at the moment!

      Red Winter #1 Page 4

Me: What is the number one reason you think people should pledge money to your Kickstarter?

Gordon: The number one reason is because it's a good comic book that will entertain readers. I believe Eli Winter is a very interesting character, filled with remorse, self-loathing and misguided notions of redemption, and he's been a blast to write. The relationships between Eli and his son Joseph, as well as Eli and Dubrovsky, will go to unexpected places that will surprise the reader. The setting of the story is also interesting, and I plan to explore the city of Kapotnya more in future issues; it really is as much of a character in the story as any of the human characters. And the art team have produced a really great issue that I believe could sit on a shelf next to other top quality crime books and not look out of place. I'm very proud of it.

But maybe don't take my word for it. How about an endorsement from Ryan K. Lindsay, writer of Eternal and Beautiful Canvas at Black Mask Studios and Negative Space at Dark Horse Comics:

Me: What inspirational words do you have for aspiring comic book writers?

Gordon: Don't be afraid to give anything a go. If you want to be a writer, then write. Everything I've done has been building blocks on top of building blocks; nothing comes at once, and it'll probably be a long road. But if you're too afraid to try, or afraid to fail, then you'll never give it a go and find out whether you could make it work or not. I've still got a long way to go until I get where I want to be, but I'm having the time of my life at the moment and it's all because I decided to commit to it and give it a go!

Me: Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions! If you’re reading this and want to check out the criminal underworld of Russia, you can check out the Red Winter Kickstarter here.
